What we do

Abbey Wood Lodge is a private care home in Ormskirk that has a unique environment which has been carefully created to meet the needs of residents over the age of 65.

Arranged over three levels using intelligent design, it provides a safe and responsive community of support and expertise.

The ground floor facilities are designed for individuals and couples who have made a lifestyle choice to live within a care home community while the upper floors cater for residents with additional needs including dementia.

Providing short and long term care, Abbey Wood Lodge also offers rehabilitation facilities for people making the transition from hospital to home as well as families and carers seeking respite care.

Abbey Wood Lodge has 60 bedrooms equipped with practical and easily accessible facilities as well as high quality furnishings.

Each bedroom comes with an ensuite wet room, an adjustable profile bed,  call bell system, digital flat screen TV, telephone and wireless internet.

Fitted out to the highest standards, many of the bedrooms have views across Ormskirk's Coronation Park, providing a peaceful and relaxing environment.

Abbey Wood Lodge's bedrooms really are home from home.

Family and friends are warmly invited to Abbey Wood Lodge. With prior arrangement, visitors can join residents for meal times or simply chat over a cup of tea or coffee using the residents' kitchen facilities.

There's also plenty of ways for residents to keep in touch with their family and friends with telephone and internet access available in all bedrooms.

There are also a number of visiting professionals to Abbey Wood Lodge providing a range of external services including GPs, opticians, hairdressers, chiropodists and physiotherapists.
