Maintenance Technician

We are searching for a new Maintenance Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive service in all areas of the Lodge, liaising with the Home Manager & external contractors as required. In this role you will be: Responsible for managing and controlling the maintenance budget for the home Communicating and interacting with staff & residents, making sure the home is in excellent condition at all times Carrying out repairs and maintenance tasks Responsible for understanding and meeting statutory legal requirements Carrying out regular safety checks (including fire alarms, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting and water) Respectful of residents at all times, especially their right to privacy, dignity and choice and incorporating their needs and requirements into your work routine to ensure their home is a pleasant place to live  About You The right candidate will be: Proactive and organised A team player Caring and empathetic Your Skills The ideal candidate will have: Good communication skills Excellent practical skills – DIY and gardening The ability to use initiative Experience For this role, it is desirable that you have: Experience working in a Maintenance role Experience working within a care home Employee Benefits Have your birthday off on us! £200 refer a friend bonus Pay day advance available Vibrant training, development and career prospects £100 attendance bonus Reimbursed DBS cost Subsidised meals Employee of the month rewards Workplace pension scheme Counselling service Rate of Pay: £10 p/h As of 11th November 2021, it is mandatory for all care home staff to be vaccinated against covid-19.  Please confirm if you have been vaccinated and the dates of your vaccines.
