Residents Don and Enid have quickly become fast friends living at Parklands Lodge.
Some of our residents have made a lifestyle decision to move into a care home community to receive the support and assistance for themselves or a spouse while others have specific needs as a result of living with conditions such as dementia.
Don and Enid, who have quickly become great friends within the care home, enjoy participating in activities together whether it’s a stroll around the garden, taking part in a drawing class, or lending a helping hand around the home.
“It’s lovely to see residents coming together in our community,” said Gaye Clark, Head of Care at the Athena Healthcare Group. “Many people who stay in their own homes, become isolated as they get older, and it’s wonderful to see people get more opportunities to get out in the community.”
Whatever each person’s individual circumstances, we offer a community of care and that looks at the individual as a whole and appreciates the lifetime of experience they have acquired.
