We are delighted to announce two new appointments to the team at the Athena Healthcare Group. We have recently promoted Sharon Hall to the position of Care Home Manager at Abbey Wood Lodge and welcomed Fiona Cassells as the new Clinical Skills Teacher.
Sharon Hall has been part of the Abbey Wood Lodge team as the Deputy Home Manager since the facility opened and is a familiar face to all residents and staff at the home. With an NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social Care, Sharon had four years experience as managing a large care home in Ormskirk before coming to Abbey Wood Lodge.
Fiona Cassells has also been appointed as the Athena Healthcare Group's Clinical Skills Teacher and will be working alongside all staff within the company to develop the team.
A registered Mental Health Nurse, teacher and lecturer with an MA
in Health Studies, she will be making sure all staff are given the opportunity to develop their skills in their specific fields.
"We're all delighted with the appointment of Sharon and Fiona in their new roles," said Gaye
Clark, Head of Care at the Athena Healthcare Group. "They are both wonderfully passionate about their jobs and bring the high levels of skill and enthusiasm that we look for in all of our staff."
“All of the staff are caring, professional and treat clients respectfully and as individuals. They excel in their drive to provide the highest level of care whilst allowing a homely, intimate atmosphere to prevail. As a family, we are delighted that Abbey Wood Lodge opened in time to provide this excellent care for our relative and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.”
